UNS N06625 is a nickel-based austenitic super heat-resistant alloy of nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium series. Different manufacturers have different names: Inconel Alloy 625 of SMC in the United States, Nicrofer 6020 hMo-alloy 625 of VDM in Germany, ATI 625 of Yelian in the United States, NAS 625 of Nippon Yakin, W.Nr. No. 2.4856, and the domestic brand is also called NS3306, but they have only one global universal identity: UNS N06625.
Main characteristics
1. Excellent corrosion resistance to various corrosive media in oxidizing and reducing environments
2. Excellent resistance to inorganic acid corrosion, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and mixed acids of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid
3. Excellent resistance to corrosion from various inorganic acid mixed solutions
4. When the temperature reaches 40°C, it can show good corrosion resistance in hydrochloric acid solutions of various concentrations
5. Certified for manufacturing pressure vessels with wall temperatures of -196 to 450°C
6. Good processability and weldability, no post-weld cracking sensitivity
Heat treatment
950-1150°C for 1-2 hours, rapid air cooling or water cooling.
Scope of application
In the field of marine engineering, the corrosion resistance of N06625 alloy gives it an advantage in the manufacture of various marine facilities, such as marine platforms and submarine hulls. At the same time, due to its excellent high temperature resistance, it also makes it an ideal material for manufacturing submarine pipelines, submarine cables, and some high-temperature and high-pressure equipment.
In the field of chemical treatment, N06625 alloy can show excellent corrosion resistance in both sulfidation and oxidation environments. It has excellent stability in various corrosive media, such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc.
In the field of aerospace, the high strength and good welding performance of N06625 alloy make it play a key role in aircraft engines, rocket engines, and some important structural parts.
